The Visor from Immersed is a pair of mixed-reality smart glasses, that now come with a better battery and a Qualcomm chip under the hood.

Apple Vision Pro was announced almost a year back and has yet to start retailing; it has been able to trigger the need for spatial computing headsets.

We saw Xreal announce one at the recently concluded CES 2024 tradeshow, and another brand aptly named Immersed has now announced the availability and pricing details of Visor Plus mixed reality smart glasses.

The Visor is a fully standalone AR/VR headset with ultra-high resolution 4K micro-OLED displays per eye and a Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chipset under the hood. The company claims that Visor has a battery backup of up to 3 hours, which should be good enough for you to take care of your emails, meetings and more.

Unlike the Meta Quest 3 or Vision Pro, which looks like a bulky VR headset, the Visor sports a look or more like some skiing goggles. Weighing under 200 grams, the Visor is way lighter than the 650-gram Vision Pro, which has been described as extremely heavy and uncomfortable for long hours by various journalists and experts who’ve demoed Apple’s maiden headset.

Interestingly, the Visor uses an application called Immersed, available for Mac, Windows, and Linux, to project multiple virtual monitors for multitasking even while you’re on the go.
