PC components manufacturer Lian Li is gearing up to show off its latest products, and one includes a gaming desk with a built-in transparent OLED display.

Lian Li has made a ton of products over the years, including the O11, one of the most popular gaming PC cases around. Now, the company is diversifying its output with all manner of new products, like screens on PC fans. But, they’re not stopping there.

At the Lian Li Digital Expo 2024 (via TechPowerUp) the company is slated to show off all manner of new products, ranging from brand-new PC cases, to coolers, PSUs and more. But, one announcement that caught us off guard is the DK-07, a gaming desk that comes with a built-in OLED screen. But, it might not be what you expect.

Do you really need an OLED desk?

The DK-07 isn’t just a gaming desk, like offerings from Secretlab. Instead, you can build an entire gaming PC straight into the desk itself. It has support for two 360mm or 280mm radiators, in addition to an assortment of fans. There’s even support for large graphics cards up to 340mm long, meaning that you could potentially fit an entire RTX 4090 here, too.

But, the highlight future of this gaming desk isn’t down to how many radiators you can cram in there, it’s the transparent 30-inch OLED display embedded into the desk itself. The transparent nature of the display could mean that you could look down and see all of your precious PC parts beautifully displayed, with a transparent screen adding a bit of oomph to your setup, too.

But, it all just seems a bit extra: How much are you really looking down at your gaming desk? Considering the premium price that this is likely to command, it’s likely that this will be a niche product that’s only sold at very low volumes. Pricing has yet to be announced, but if you’re interested, you might want to start saving those pennies.
