CRKD has just surprise revealed the successor to the Nitro Deck, and it’s made the popular Nintendo Switch accessory even better.

Released back in September 2023, the CRKD Nitro Deck controller for the Nintendo Switch provides a high-end experience for people using the console in handheld mode.

We reviewed it in October, sharing our love for the drift-free controller thanks to its comfort and various features.

CRKD has revealed its successor, the Nitro Deck+, and thanks to a handful of new features, they’ve managed to make the popular accessory even better.

The best Nintendo Switch accessory just got even better

Announced on February 23, 2024, CRKD says the Nitro Deck+ improvements have come as a direct result of community feedback.

“Meet the all new Nitro Deck+, a direct result of community feedback. We kept what you loved & added what you needed,” they said.

The biggest feature added to the Nitro Deck+ is HDMI out through the rear USB-C port and an included adapter, which means you’ll be able to leave your Nintendo Switch in the controller when wanting to play on your TV.

CRKD also says that they’ve increased the comfort of the controller, with the most obvious change being symmetrical thumbsticks. There are new programmable “sidekick” buttons on the front, adding to the usefulness of the Nitro Deck+ in games.

They’ve kept all the most popular aspects of the original controller as well, being drift-free Hall Effect joysticks and triggers, vibration adjustment, and swappable stick tops.

The CRKD Nitro Deck+ is available for preorder and is set to ship sometime in April 2023.
