Twitch streamer SBCoop was left confused after the platform removed his emote showing Bonsly on its back for “sexual content.”

With thousands of Twitch emotes being uploaded to the platform each day, it makes sense for the Amazon-owned site to have a set of rules that they need to follow.

Many have been removed due to breaking these guidelines, such as Connoreatspants’ dancing monkey emote back in 2022.

Twitch streamer SBCoop’s seemingly innocent Pokemon emote was removed on February 5, 2024, leaving the creator confused.

Bonsly Twitch emote removed for sexual content

In the screenshot he posted on Twitter/X, you can see SBCoop’s picture of Bonsly on its back with what appears to be tears coming out of its eyes.

Twitch’s email states that it was removed for “imagery of sexual content or nudity,” which left him quite confused.

“EXCUSE ME???? Twitch this is literally what Bonsly looks like???????????,” he said.

While he was left confused, the actual design of Bonsly might be the issue Twitch found with the emote. In both the mainline games and anime series, the Pokemon has a hole between its legs.

One user even took to the replies to share a screenshot from Pokemon anime. “Maybe Twitch needs some research from the anime,” he said.

It’s unknown whether or not the streamer plans on redesigning the emote without the hole in the bottom, but it may be an easy way to get it approved by Twitch.
