Excited for the next chapter of the Pokemon trading card game? A handful of Temporal Forces card previews just dropped, and they’re absolutely incredible.

There have been some immense Pokemon TCG releases this year and we’re barely finished with February. Paldean Fates has been a stunning set so far, and there’s been some brilliant Pokemon merch, too.

An incredible set release is just around the corner, though, as Temporal Forces is on the way and dropping in March. If you’re excited about this set, you’ll be pleased to know that some sneak peek card previews have just been revealed by The Pokemon Company.

Originally shared in this official Pokemon post, 5 stunning cards from the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Temporal Forces set were released with a little backstory for each card.

As you can see from the images above, this is going to be a visually striking release. It should also shake up the competitive scene nicely. The Gnawing Curse ability on the Gengar ex holds a lot of potential, and the introduction of more Ancient and Future mons should be exciting, too.

The two cards that got the most hype from fans online were not cards featuring Pokemon, though. They were the new ACE SPEC Energy card and the Poffin Item card.

The return of ACE SPEC cards has been highly anticipated since it was announced and the Neo Upper Energy ACE SPEC looks incredibly powerful.

If you’re unfamiliar with ACE SPEC cards, they were released back in Pokemon Black & White – Boundaries Crossed but left the game for a good while. They’re very strong and you can only have one of them in your deck at a time.

The Buddy-Buddy Poffin card got a lot of hype online – and understandably so, as it holds some immense value for competitive play.

As we mentioned back when this card was originally shown off for Wild Force and Cyber Judge, this card will be the perfect alternative to the Battle VIP Pass which is getting rotated out on the 5th of April this year.

Along with the other cards that have already been shown off for Temporal Forces, it’s fair to say that this could be one of the biggest Pokemon TCG releases this year for both card collectors and competitive players. It’ll be exciting to see how it impacts the tournament scene.
