Pokemon players reveal their worst “alien” sandwich monstrosities

The picnic feature in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet can be a lot of fun, but as a group of players revealed online lately, it can also lead to some absolute monstrosities.

If you’ve played Pokemon Scarlet or Violet, you’ll know that the picnic feature is the replacement for the Day Care feature from previous games. Put simply, it exists to help with Pokemon breeding and eggs, and it can help with a number of other things like Pokemon care and party stats.

It’s a relatively harmless feature, but the ability to build sandwiches for your party can lead to some culinary crimes – as Pokemon players shared in r/PokemonScarletViolet recently.

Pokemon players unveil their “ugliest” sandwiches

Originally popping up in a Reddit post, Pokemon player Lunyoows shared a snap of one of their in-game sandwiches and asked other players to share their ugliest creations ever.

The other Pokemon players in the replies did not disappoint, and some of them even bought their own screenshots to the picnic. One player described their handiwork as, “sloppy open face piles of food. Only in the loosest of definitions would they even count as sandwiches.”

Another player decided to share a picture of their work, with a very normal and standard amount of gravity-defying tofu on display.

Top sandwich making tips were also shared in the thread. One player discussed how they always button-mashed when the toothpick came out to avoid the bread toppling over, and another replied to this saying, “Just drop the bread to the side. Open-faced sandwiches are perfectly valid.”

One particularly ominous reply shared that they had a sandwich nicknamed “Imminent Doom” but unfortunately, there were no images to go alongside this name.

Players even responded to the sandwich that Lunyoows shared in the original post, with one player simply responding, “Mmmm finger puke sandwich”.
