Pokemon Go trainers took the time to “flex” their huge Shiny collections, with some fans claiming to have over 1000 Shinies.

For many trainers who enjoy Pokemon Go, a big part of the fun is collecting as many Pokemon as possible to fill out the Pokedex.

However, Pokemon Go also has a Shiny Dex, which tracks each Pokemon’s Shiny variant. As such, many also take on the gargantuan task of filling out a complete Shiny Dex.

Now, trainers who have amassed huge collections of these rare monsters have flexed their catalogs on social media, leaving some fans in awe of just how many Shinies these lucky trainers have.

Pokemon Go trainers “flex” massive Shiny catalogs

A post on the PokemonGoBrag subreddit sparked a discussion among the community after one trainer asked a simple question: “What’s a normal amount of Shinies?”

The OP attached a screenshot that showed they had collected a staggering 1043 Shiny Pokemon, with some impressive finds like Origin Forme Dialga, Giratina, and Groudon.

They said, “I have a little over 1k shinies which I think is a flex.” Of course, this declaration opened the floodgates for other trainers to share their own Shiny hauls.

“I’m at 3889, so you’re off to a good start…,” claimed one fan, while another said, “I have 1593 in storage [and] 647 registered in the ShinyDex.”

Many players claimed there were also closing in around 1000 Shinies as well, but needed a bit more time.

“969 here for reference,” said one trainer. Another chimed in with, “I’ve got 833. Been playing since pretty much the beginning. My son has been playing for about 14 months and has 175 for context.”

Considering how rare Shiny Pokemon are, these numbers are quite impressive. Hopefully, this lucky trainer will someday be able to fully complete their Shiny Dex.
