Pokemon has revealed a new plush based on the fan-favorite Maushold, but some already have dark plans for the cute family of mice.

Since Pokemon Scarlet and Violet released in late 2022, Maushold has become one of the most popular Paldean Pokemon.

The evolved form of Tandemaus, Maushold is memorable for its unique evolution, which sees the Tandemaus couple add a baby or two to the family, as well as the Pokemon’s surprising competitive viability.

Based on its popularity, it’s no surprise that The Pokemon Company would release a Tandemaus plush – but less expected are the dark plans some fans already have for the Family Pokémon.

Pokemon players want to create their own Family of Three Maushold plushes

Pokemon announced the new plush on Twitter, sharing a picture of the adorable Maushold family. According to their page on the Pokemon Center website, the plush is 6″ tall and 15″ wide, with the four mice connected at the paws.

Of course, Maushold also has a rare alternate form. Upon evolving, you have a 1/100 change of getting a Family of Three Maushold with a single baby instead of two.

Since the plush only comes in the more common Family of Four, some fans are considering taking some drastic measures to get the rarer form.

“If you remove one of the children you can get the rare family of three,” explained one user. Others had the same idea, though none shared plans for the poor orphaned mouse left behind by altering the plush.

Others proposed a more wholesome version they’d like to see. “It would be funny if out of so many plushes, you would get the family of 3 form as a surprise instead,” a commenter proposed. While unlikely, it would perfectly mimic how the evolution works in-game and create a pretty cool and rare collector’s item.
