Palworld players roast Dead by Daylight dev for criticizing the game

Palworld was slammed as a boring game by Dead by Daylight’s Chief of Staff, and players aren’t happy about it. Here’s what they had to say.

Before the game’s launch, who would’ve thought that Palworld, or what some people call “Pokemon with guns,” would surpass the number of players in Steam’s most popular titles, but here we are. Just within hours of the game‘s early access launch, more than 500k concurrent players have flooded the game. But it gets crazier.

The game continued to smash more records afterward to the point that devs had to call an emergency meeting due to the massive amount of players. Even with all the plagiarism and AI drama, it’s clear that players are still interested in jumping into the Palpagos Island and doing whatever their hearts desire.

However, regardless of how popular a game is, there will always be those who will criticize it. In Palworld’s case, Dead by Daylight’s Chief of Staff claimed that “Palworld is not good,” criticizing the game as insanely buggy and repetitive, and “the combat feels awful.”

Many players have since hit back, as seen in a Reddit thread featuring a meme poking fun at this take. “What is it with these other devs with their mid-games trashing Palworld? Like I’m sorry but they all need to [shut the f*** up],” one user wrote.

Another even went as far as to describe Dead by Daylight as “one of the most boring games I ever played in my life.”

“What a massive waste of time. Repair this engine and sneak around. Oh, wait! Try to get your friend off a hook!” they added.

Meanwhile, a third user said, “Dead by Daylight is the greatest game ever! Just look at its 12 million sales on Steam, 7 million players on Xbox, and 2 million concurrent players on Steam all in the first month. Oh wait, that’s Palworld.”

Despite some players roasting Dead by Daylight in the comments, others have expressed worry surrounding the longevity of Palworld.

However, looking at the game’s roadmap and recent patch, it’s safe to say that devs are putting effort into this game and there’s plenty to look forward to.
