Palworld has been a huge hit on Game Pass, beating out stalwarts like Minecraft, League of Legends, and Valorant on the Most Popular titles charts.

Game Pass has helped propel titles to greatness in the past, with third-party titles sometimes overshadowing the Xbox Game Studios exclusives. Palworld is no exception, as many players have experienced it via Game Pass.

Palworld has had an incredible word of mouth, making it the ideal fit for Game Pass. Those who want to try the game but are worried about its performance in early access or are unsure if they can handle the violence against the Pals can try it out without committing to full ownership.

While Palworld has been a huge hit on Steam, crushing games like Dota 2 and Baldur’s Gate 3 in concurrent player numbers, it has also seen similar success on Game Pass, especially on the PC platform.

Palworld surpasses Minecraft & League of Legends on Game Pass

According to Benji Sales on Twitter/X, Palworld is the most popular title on PC Game Pass, beating out massive titles like League of Legends, Valorant, and Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition, all of which are among the biggest names on the platform.

It’s unclear if this has translated into new subscribers for PC or Xbox Game Pass, but the incredible popularity of Palworld means that Microsoft has the ability to tie this new sensation to the Game Pass branding.

The question now is how long Palworld can hold its lofty position on top of the Game Pass and Steam charts. The developers of Palworld have released a roadmap for the game, though it’s unclear when important bug fixes and new content will be added.

While Palworld has had an amazing first week, it’s competing with games that have appeared on this charts for years, having accumulated dedicated fanbases via their addictive gameplay loops and content feeds, which is an arena where Palworld has yet to be truly tested.

Whatever the case, Palworld is a big hit on PC Game Pass, giving the service a much-needed early injection of hype in 2024. If Palworld remains on the service, it could be a huge draw in the coming months.
