Are you tired of your Pals slacking off? Find out how to manage your Pal mental stability in Palworld to bring their productivity back.

After a long day of exploring new areas and dungeons in Palworld, sometimes all you want to see when returning to your base is your Pals having a good time and your resources being ready. But alas, instead of that, you’re met with them slacking off, refusing to do any work.

When your Pals are not properly cared for, their sanity bar will drop. This causes them to be unproductive or worse – get all sorts of sickness. Hence, managing your Pals’ mental stability is essential for the best outcome in the game.

After all, happy Pals mean you’ll get to farm things faster and have much more work done. Let’s take a look at how to manage your Pal’s mental stability in Palworld.

How to increase Pal’s sanity in Palworld

Your Pal’s sanity bar (SAN) can drop if they’re working too much and don’t have a way to refresh themselves. Sometimes glitches can be a factor, too, as Pals can get stuck for hours and be unable to move, eat, or sleep.

Usually, a quick restart should fix the issue, but you’ll still have to deal with their now decreased sanity. So, if you find your Pals starting to sleep during midday or roaming around for no reason, it’s time to get their sanity back up with these methods.

Let them rest

Just like humans, your Pals need rest at night after a long working day. Otherwise, they’ll start to slack off and take more afternoon naps. In the early game, you can build a basic Straw Pal bed for them to sleep on. You’ll want to ensure that all your Pals have their own beds to rest up and prep for the next day.

Give them a hot spring

Who doesn’t want to relax in a nice hot bath? Your Pals will be more than happy to jump in the hot spring and their sanity bar shows. You can build a hot spring as soon as you reach level 9 and upgrade it later to a giant hot spring as you advance the game. It’s best to build more than one so that other Pals don’t have to queue when they want to take their relaxing bath.

Use the Feed Box

The Feed Box is one of the most useful things you should build. With this, you no longer have to manually feed them individually, as they will eat by themselves from the Feed Box when hungry. It’s also super convenient because as long as you have it topped up with food, their sanity should pretty much be maintained while you do other things.

Rotate your pals

Lastly, if you haven’t gathered enough materials to craft the things above, you can maintain your Pal’s mental stability by putting them back in your Palbox. Your Pals will regain their sanity over time inside the Palbox, and once they’re fully recovered, you can release them back to your base.

So, that’s about it. These methods should help you manage your Pal’s mental stability in Palworld. Outside of these, you can also show them affection by petting them to increase their sanity. However, it seems like this has a random outcome on their SAN bar for now, so it’s not quite as reliable as other methods.
