This video explores one possibility for Overwatch’s Hero 29

Overwatch’s 29th hero will almost certainly be revealed at BlizzCon this November, but this YouTube video from Master Ian Gamer explores the fan-favorite theory that hero 29 is the Junkertown Queen.

Ian starts by examining the Queen’s backstory before digging into her potential and whether or not she would be a good fit for the game in its current form.

Clear images of the Queen can be found throughout Overwatch, something that hasn’t been done with other new heroes like Sombra or Doomfist, Brigitte is the exception to this, though.

This “frivolous” revealing of the Queen’s image could mean that Blizzard never planned to add her as a hero and aren’t concerned with keeping her secret,

It could also mean the Overwatch team has had the Queen’s character design pinned down for a while now, and since character designs are most often made after the base abilities of their kit, it could be hinting that she’s going to be released soon.

Ian goes into much more detail about possible mechanics of the Queen’s kit, and whether or not she would be a tank, support or DPS style hero.

Whether or not the Junkertown Queen is Hero 29 remains to be seen and we’ll probably have no idea until BlizzCon, but this video makes a pretty compelling case.
