Overwatch streamer Daniel ‘Dafran’ Francesca teamed up with Phillip ‘Kragie’ Krag for an incredibly smart Wrecking Ball play in a ranked match.

Wrecking Ball is the latest hero to join the Overwatch roster, and one of the most unique, a spherical mech piloted by a genetically-enhance hamster whose play-style revolves around rolling and swinging into enemies.

Though Wrecking Ball was released into the live servers on July 24, as is customary for new heroes he wasn’t immediately made available in ranked play, only being unlocked for the competitive ladder on August 7.

While trying him out on stream surely afterwards, Dafran came up with a creative way of finding an opening pick, with the help of former British Hurricane DPS player Kragie.

Coming out on the offensive side of Junkertown, Dafran was faced with an enemy team set up behind an Orisa barrier.

Calling out to Kragie, on Widowmaker, to be prepared for what was about to happen, Dafran swung in and smashed down onto the enemy team, knocking their Zenyatta into the air. The Zenyatta was thrown above Orisa’s barrier, giving Kragie an opening to find a quick headshot.

Dafran knew exactly what was possible, called it, and with Kragie’s help executed it, and it’s the presence of mind that makes the play truly epic.
