Helldivers 2 leaks aren’t new, but the latest one showcases Mechs in-game aiding the fight for freedom and democracy.

Helldivers 2‘s early February arrival made a splash like no other, as the game topped Steam charts while breaking PlayStation records and a few servers along the way.

The immense success of the title forced the devs to revisit the game’s roadmap. While we don’t know exactly what is coming in future updates, numerous leaks have pointed to new stratagems and enemies. There may be a stealth update in the pipeline as well, based on this surprise Twitter/X interaction between the CEO of Arrowhead Game Studios and a player.

It seems even more content may be in the works, including an ode to the first game, letting players use Mechs to combat Super Earth opposers.

Helldivers 2 Mech footage leaked

As it currently stands, players can only use weapons and stratagems to combat enemies. However, leaked footage shared to the Helldivers subreddit shows a player using a Mech for combat purposes.

As you can imagine, in the brief footage, a player jumps in and out of Mech while quickly inspecting the titan. They jump back into the pilot seat and rain fire on enemies, completing their objective, and leaving viewers stunned at what they just saw.

Initial reactions were quick to point to hackers and modders were the likely reason this was possible. In response to a player asking how was this possible, a player said: “Likely a cheater in the lobby. Or, very rare chance, a dev dropped it in for them.”

Plenty of other replies shared similar sentiments, due to the unfortunate fact that cheating has been a rising issue.

Other reactions were excited at Mech integration, with a few thinking multiple models would be included in future updates which the original poster said they saw more than just the model demonstrated in the footage.

As mentioned, with new stratagems found in the files, the original poster shared: “From what I saw he had access to the new weapons like an energy RPG coming, a meteorite that hits like the nuke, a group of Helldivers you can call in to support you (NPCs) and more.”

It’ll likely be some time before any of these leaks are proven true, but if they are, the Helldiver plight will certainly get a bit easier.
