Fans of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League say that the game’s high price tag has killed it for many players.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was released on February 2 and has already garnered a lot of attention from the gaming community. Steam’s website detects that only 13,000 players have played the game since it was released early to those who had gotten the digital edition on January 29.

While the numbers have not favored the PC side of sales, these numbers do not consider how many players purchased the game for PlayStation and Xbox. However, the search term ‘Suicide Squad refund’ skyrocketed to +791% shortly after the game faced a major technical server outage, which may indicate how players received the game’s launch.

Now, fans of the game have taken to Reddit to debate what has been the downfall of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League despite the positive reviews from players.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League killer price

One Redditor created a post addressing the positive feedback from Steam reviews at 86% positive. They also noted that one of the biggest pain points of the game was its price tag. The game is currently listed on all platforms for $69.99 – on the higher end of games that have been recently released.

“This is your average “when it’s on sale for 10 bucks, I’ll consider it” game,” said one commenter. “So yeah, consider it when it’s 10 bucks.’

Others chimed in with similar statements, saying that the price initially pushed them away from purchasing it. However, some said they skipped the game purely based on the storyline alone.

“Give it a week,” stated another. “It will be mixed review in no time.”

The fate of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, whether it faces resistance from the community due to its storyline, price, or overall gameplay, will only become apparent with time and subsequent updates. The game’s ability to overcome its initial challenges and thrive remains uncertain.
