Pokemon Day 2024 art teases some incredible TCG news

Originally shared in a post on X (and a variety of other official Pokemon X posts), The Pokemon Company put out the following illustration, wishing fans the best of luck with their card trades this week.

Two cards can be seen lying face down in the image, with a variety of intriguing designs in the background. These include fan-favorite Pokemon such as Pikachu, Eevee, and Charizard, possibly hinting at new illustration rares and Tera cards.

Some of the most notable inclusions here are a Tera Fighting Greninja and Tera Ogerpon with the Grass mask. While this is speculation on our part, these images are likely hinting at new ex cards featuring these iconic Pokemon.

Fans were incredibly excited about the various characters and designs shown in this image, with the Eevee illustration getting a lot of love. One Pokemon TCG player replied, “Cant wait for this Eevee Illustration Rare” and said that they hoped it would be an Elite Trainer Box promo card.

There are already a lot of amazing Pokemon TCG releases on the calendar, such as Temporal Forces and Twilight Masquerade. It’s hard to say with certainty what we’ll see in the Pokemon Presents showcase tomorrow, but it’s safe to say that it’ll be a lot of fun.
