A hypothetical fight between God of War’s Kratos and The Incredible Hulk has caused a major rift amongst fanboys as they debate who’d emerge victorious.

It’s rare that we ever get to see dream battles outside of the odd versus movie like Freddy vs Jason, video games like Alien vs Predator and Super Smash Bros, or comic series such as RoboCop Versus The Terminator.

Normally, these issues come down to who owns the rights to said properties and when they do happen, they rarely even end with a clear winner, but that hasn’t stopped fans from constantly arguing about potential matchups.

The latest viral internet fight stems from a post on X where a user uploaded an AI photo of Kratos and Hulk staring each other down, claiming that The Ghost of Sparta would “beat the sh*t” out of Bruce Banner’s angry, green form.

Internet fights over Kratos vs Hulk matchup

After the thread was posted, users across the internet began to debate the fight in the comments as the conversation trended on the site. Many believed that the Marvel films gave people an underwhelming look at the true power of The Hulk.

“MCU nerfed the Hulk hard. If we talking bout comic book Hulk then Hulk wins easily,” one said. “I’ll never forgive the MCU for the irreversible damage it has done to Hulk image.”

“Non MCU Hulk will savagely destroy,” echoed another.

Some tried to use the MCU to make their case for Kratos in the fight and were met with instant backlash for not bringing up the comic version of the hero.

“Thanos broke [Hulk] with like two a half Infinity Stones. Kratos a whole two different Gods from two different mythologies,” a GoW supporter argued.

“The Marvel movie Hulk character is not the same from the comics,” someone else shot back.

“Kratos is a damn god Hulk is an experiment!” another chimed in.

Unfortunately, we may never end up seeing a true battle between these two, but considering how viral the internet argument became, Sony and Disney may want to consider teaming up for such a project in the future.
