This new tip for editing ramps is one of the most simple yet effective tips in Fortnite, and if you haven’t seen it before, it will probably surprise you that you didn’t think of it yourself.

Ramps are the most common and basic building blocks in Fortnite. They help you get to high ground, can be used for cover and are key to winning gunfights by getting a height advantage on opponents.

You can place ramps in any direction, and once placed, you can also edit them to face a different direction. What you may not know though, is that there is a much faster way to do this.

Fortnite YouTuber Beaks explains that he has been editing ramps to change their direction the same way for the entirety of his time playing the game, probably the same way you are too.

The normal way is to simply select the center squares on opposite sides of the ramp, which will then change it’s direction, but there is a faster and more efficient way.

Beaks shows that you only need to select one of the large squares, and then simply select the small square immediately next to it diagonally, which will have the exact same effect.

This technique requires a little more precision, but once practiced you should be saving precious seconds off your edit time – which could mean the difference between surviving and elimination.

Beaks has plenty more helpful Fortnite tips on his channel, particularly focused on getting better at building and editing.
