Much of the Fortnite community’s attention has turned to trios of late, as Fortnite’s Champion Series offers consistently high prize money for successful placements.

Mongraal, benjyfishy and Mitr0 are three of the world’s top players in their own right; all three featured at July’s World Cup. Mongraal and Mitr0 featured as a duo at the World Cup and placed sixth overall. Add benjyfishy into the mix, and it’s no surprise that they’re pulling off crazy wins.

The trio were playing in a qualifying match for the most recent Champion Series, the finals of which take place at the end of Season X. The prize pool is a whopping $10 million.

The trio kick off the game by landing at Retail Row, which recently returned in place of the outgoing Mega Mall. It is a popular place for professional players to land as the zombie spawns provide the opportunity to find some top-tier loot.

The EU trio then rotate from Retail towards the center of the map as dictated by zone. They pick up multiple kills en route and around Salty Springs. After their success in Salty, Mongraal suggests they split up to maximize their number of kills.

The game concludes just north-west of Tilted with an incredible ending in which Mongraal picks up 6 kills in less than a minute.

The FaZe Clan star ends the game with 17 kills, benjy with 10 and mitr0 with 15, totaling an whopping 42 kills. The match racked up 57 points for the trio.

While a 42 kill trio match would not normally see these stars break sweat, the feat was performed against players exclusively in the Champions League; Fortnite Arena’s top tier of play.

The ability to pull off this kind of victory in a match dominated by top-tier players reinforces just how good this trio is, and why we can expect to see them competing at the very top of Fortnite for a long time to come.
