Fortnite Battle Royale’s Season 8 Week 8 challenges are some of the most difficult we have seen in some time, including a staged task where players must “search the treasure map signpost found in Paradise Palms.”
With the v8.40 update for the popular battle royale title dropping on Wednesday, April 17, players can now get their hands on two new versions of the Infantry Rifle, while the controversial X-4 Stormwing is back in the new Air Royale LTM.
With a new set of challenges releasing on April 18, players have a whole host of new tasks that they need to complete if they want to get their hands on those elusive Battle Stars, and the special Season 8 Ruin skin reward.
For the first stage of this challenge, players will need to head to Paradise Palms, and unlike treasure map challenges in previous seasons, you must first visit the actual map before you go to the final location if you want to receive your Battle Stars.
To find the sign, head towards the center of Paradise Palms, as the map sign can be found on the west-side wall of the courtyard area, facing towards the large apartment building on the edge of the location.
Once you find it, you should receive your first Battle Star once you interact with the sign, which means you will then be able to complete the second half of this challenge.
Once you have found the treasure map sign, you now need to find the location marked on it to complete this challenge.
Players will need to head to the opposite side of the map to find the X, as it is situated at Frosty Flights, which was introduced to Fortnite Battle Royale at the start Season 7. The image on the treasure map sign shows the two hangers situated at the location, with the X marked at the start of the runway on the west of the map.
Once you’ve made it there, a Battle Star will appear, and once you interact with it, the challenge will be complete.
