How to make 16 player lobbies in Fortnite Battle Royale

Beginning on April 30, players in Fortnite Battle Royale are able to group up in parties of up to 16 and jump into any game mode that supports more than 4-player squads.

For modes like 50v50 or the recent Avengers: Endgame crossover, you might find yourself wanting the ability to drop into the mode with more than just your three closest friends.

With this larger party feature, Epic Games has added the ability to join games with up to 16 players meaning none of your friends will be left behind when you want to try out a large-scale LTM again.

Epic GamesThe Infinity Gauntlet and Endgame LTMs have been big hits.

How does it work?

Next time you log into Fortnite, you’ll notice a new tab at the bottom called ‘Squad Formation’ where you’ll be able to see the normal 4-man squad called Llama Squad. There are three other squads too – Crab Squad needs five members, Bear Squad needs nine and Dragon Squad needs at least 13.

The Large Party format works pretty much exactly how you’d expect it to – just keep inviting friends until the limit is reached. The squad names don’t really matter but they do sound cool.

Keep in mind that, while you can create these large parties, if you try to go into a mode like Duos or Squads with more than the usual number of players you will be blocked from doing so.

Your main menu screen will get pretty busy with 16 players in it and we imagine it could get very chaotic if voice chat is active at the same time.

Fortnite runs some pretty hectic LTMs quite often so this new feature will probably get a lot of use if you’re on to check everything out.

What LTMs support Large Party?

Any LTM that allows you to have more than a 4-player squad will support this new Large Party format.

This means that presumably, these will be the LTMs that support the feature:

  1. Final Fight
  2. 50v50
  3. Teams of 20
  4. Infinity Gauntlet/Endgame
  5. Team Rumble
  6. Soaring 50’s
  7. Driftin’
  8. Food Fight
  9. Disco Domination

Some of these LTMs are probably retired for good so don’t expect to try the Large Party mode on all of them.

Epic Games likes to add new LTMs into Fortnite on a regular basis so it’s possible we’ll see an even larger mode in the near future that takes advantage of this new feature.

Fortnite’s Marvel-themed Season 4 takeover is almost winding down, but there’s still plenty of opportunities to grab some last-minute XP boosts with our guide on the Week 10 challenges.

Season 4 of Fortnite has seen tons of new content over the weeks. On top of the ample supply of cosmetic unlocks, Epic has deployed everything from new abilities to secret challenges.

With the ongoing storyline teasing major changes each passing update, time is of the essence to get everything done before we reached Season 5. Once the rare items are gone from the game, there’s no chance at claiming them anytime in the future.

So if you’re trying to make every minute count and get the most of your experience gains, weekly challenges are for you.

Things couldn’t be simpler this time around and we’ve got you covered with everything there is to know about the week 10 objectives.

You’ll need to prioritizing vehicles early on to tick the latest challenges off your list.

First up, all of the usual tasks are listed once again. You’ll need to search some chests, find some quick kills, and collect various resources. These can all be smashed out in the blink of an eye without any real difficulty.

Vehicles will be a big priority over the next few days as there are three unique challenges to tick off. One will have you racing from The Fortilla to The Authority in under four minutes. Meanwhile, the other simply asks you to stay in a vehicle for a long period of time and travel the map.

Arguably the most difficult of the vehicle-specific challenges, you’ll need to eliminate a few enemies with them. This means you may have to catch some opposing players by surprise. Be on the lookout for explosives that could end your run before it really begins.

You can blitz through a handful of these activities at the same time but others require a more focused effort. Below is the full list of challenges for the latest week in Fortnite.

Fortnite Season 4 Week 10 Challenges

  • Search Chests at Upstate New York
  • Eliminations at Lazy Lake
  • Collect Metal from Slurpy Swamp
  • Catch fish at Heart Lake
  • Eliminate opponents by hitting them with vehicles
  • Drive a boat from The Fortilla to The Authority in less than 4 minutes
  • Ride 20,000 meters in a vehicle
  • Deal damage to opponents at Sentinel Graveyard

Expect the Sentinel Graveyard to be a hot drop for the next week.

You’ve still got a few weeks left to finish up the Season 4 Battle Pass. Though you may want to start rushing through not only these weekly tasks, but the secret challenges too.

Every scrap of XP will help as you look to unlock the final rewards in the Marvel-centric update.
