Fortnite fans have been chomping at the bit to get the Merry Mint pickaxe in their locker. So, here’s how you can get your hands on it.

Epic Games’ extremely popular battle royale title is chocked full of items that everyone wants to own. Be it the Ghoul Trooper skin, or the PAX expo sprays these cosmetics let you style in front of other players, as well as showing off your dedication to the game.

Some, however, are incredibly rarer than others and a handful can’t even be purchased from the in-game item store. The hottest arrival to this scene of rare cosmetics is the Merry Mint pickaxe but don’t worry, it’s not gone completely out of stock just yet – there are ways to get yourselves an elusive code.

The Merry Mint has joined the ranks of elusive Fortnite cosmetics.

The way in which you can get the pickaxe is pretty simple, you just have to purchase a Fortnite product from a select group of stores in selected regions – be it online or in person.

These retailers are located in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, but if you’ve got the extra cash, you can get elsewhere in the world, it’s just going to cost you some shipping cost. So, here’s where you can get them from.

Gamestop US

Grab any Fortnite product from Gamestop’s online store, be it a V-Bucks card or something physical like a keyring, and you’ll be given a code.

Of course, if you venture to a physical store, you’ll have to hope that they have codes in stock but there should be plenty available online for now.

Keychains can be purchased in order to get a Merry Mint code.

GAME UK

The UK-based equivalent of Gamestop, GAME UK, is stocking similar products to the United States retailer but you won’t be able to purchase a V-Bucks card.

They do, however, have POP Funko Keychains that depict a range of in-game skins that you can sport in your everyday life. These range from £4.99 to 10.99. Once you’ve got one in your basket, the Merry Mint will appear with a price of £99.99 but don’t fret, you won’t be shelling out.

Once you’ve purchased your Fortnite product, the Merry Mint will appear as free and you’ll just have to wait for the harvesting tool code.

Gamestop Germany is also offering the codes up online, but you won’t be able to visit a physical store and get a Merry Mint code.

For the rest of the world, you can use these three stores and pay the shipping costs – which could get pretty expensive depending on where you are –  if they offer delivery to your location. If it works, you’ll have to wait for a physical card with the code inside of an email.

How to redeem a Merry Mint code

Once you’ve got the code in hand, head to the official Fortnite website and head into the redeem page. Log into your Epic Games account, wait for the page to refresh, and enter in your code.

Claim it from there, wait a few moments, and then head log into the game itself. The Merry Mint will appear on-screen as a newly redeemed item so equip it and show it off to your friends!

Fortnite leak reveals more classic vehicles returning soon

A fresh Fortnite leak has hinted at the return of some classic vehicles, including the controversial Baller hamster ball and even the ATK Golf Cart.

Back in Fortnite Season 4, Epic Games gave fans of the battle royale a new way to get around the island – a shopping cart. From there, the vehicles in Fortnite have only gotten bigger and better.

Though, they haven’t been without controversy. The Baller, X-4 Stormwing, and Brute Mech were the source of much anger in the Fortnite community because of how powerful they were – with all three prompting exploits where players could easily win games without much legwork.

In Fortnite Chapter 2, a number of different cars have been introduced. They’re not as whacky or powerful as the old vehicles, and while they are helpful, some players do yearn for the Shopping Cart and Quadcrasher’s returns.

Well, according to a handful of new leaks, players might be getting their wish after a few of the older vehicles were given a refresh in the v15.20 patch.

According to Fortnite leakers FNBRUnreleased and InTheShadeYT, the Baller, Hoverboard, and ATK Golf Cart were all updated in the recent patch.

“Ballers and Hoverboard have been also updated! We may see them making a return soon,” FNBRUnreleased posted, while noting that the textures for the ATK Golf Cart were also refreshed. However, there doesn’t seem to be much of a change from the way the ATK’s used to look.

There’s nothing mentioned about when exactly the vehicles could return, but it does seem possible that they could appear in this season. We got the Stormwings back over the holiday period, after all.

Until we see them in-game though, it is worth noting that nothing is confirmed. Epic might have plans to bring them back, but scrap them based on something else that happens – say, they’re not compatible with another item. So, let’s just wait and see.
