Fortnite Season 8 Week 6 is here, meaning fans of the popular battle royale title will have a brand new batch of seven challenges to complete as they try to earn stars for their Battle Pass.
Fortnite’s new Boom Bow was officially added to the game on April 2 with the release of the v8.20 Content Update, giving players a new weapon to wield as they try to secure a Victory Royale.
As usual, fans of the game will have new challenges to complete, with three challenges open to anyone who has the game, with another four locked and only available for those who have the Season 8 Battle Pass.
Battle Pass owners will also have the opportunity to unlock a brand new loading screen, which can be used to find the hidden secret banner for the Discovery challenges, by completing all seven of the week’s challenges.
The Fortnite Season 8 Week 6 challenges went live at 9:30 AM EDT / 6:30 AM PDT / 3:30 PM BST, and thanks to data miner @Lucas7yoshi_, we already had an idea as to what we could expect when they officially release.
Fortnite fans will have to make use of the new Boom Bow or Flint-Knock Pistol weapons, and will have plenty of travelling to do as well thanks to a number of challenges requiring visits to different locations.
If you’re desperate to know how to complete the Season 8 Week 6 Fortnite challenges, here are some handy guides that will help you earn those Battle Stars.
Unsurprisingly, Fortnite’s Discovery Challenges continue to rumble on throughout Season 8, and Week 6 will see players on the lookout for a secret banner rather than a hidden Battle Star.
Fortnite fans need to use the Week 6 loading screen to find the hidden banner, which can be unlocked when all seven weekly challenges have been completed, but if you’re struggling to find the banner, you can use our handy guide to save yourself from the hunt.
This challenge will require Fortnite fans to head to three separate locations to earn their Battle Stars, as they will need to visit three structures in the shape of animals to complete it.
These structures are separated out across the Fortnite map, with the wooden rabbit sitting above Snobby Shores, the stone pig on a hill beside Lucky Landing, and the giant metal llama at the very top of the map just north of Junk Junction.
Hopefully you’re not afraid of heights, as Fortnite players will be visiting the five highest peaks on the Fortnite map.
These are spread out across the map, but our handy guide will help you find the spots with the greatest elevation on the map with ease.
Expect these two locations to get busier over the next few days, as players will start dropping here in the hopes of finding the three eliminations they need to complete this challenge.
Simply land at either Lazy Lagoon in the north of the island, or Frosty Flights in the southwest, and start searching for enemies to kill.
This week's Staged challenge will see players landing at different locations. There are five named places that you’ll have to visit immediately after you jump out of the Battle Bus, and they must be completed in the correct order to receive the reward. You can read the full five stages below.
Fortnite fans will be forced to pull out the Treasure Map loading screen again, and this time head to the location at which the knife is pointing on the map. Finding the location may prove tricky, but we have a full guide that will help you get there.
Another straightforward challenge, players will need to get their hands on one of Fortnite’s two newest weapons, the Flint-Knock Pistol or the Boom Bow. Once you find one, take down an enemy and eliminate them to secure this challenge.
This one will require some searching, as players will need to find two different throwable items and use them in a single game. These can include Stink Bombs and Boogie Bombs, so as soon as you find one, throw it. They don’t even have to hit another opponent, so don’t worry about holding on to them until you see an enemy player.
