Fortnite reveal when Deadpool skin will be available in Season 2

It appears that Epic Games have finally revealed when Fortnite players will be able to get their hands on the Deadpool skin, following weeks of in-game challenges.

Since its release way back in the summer of 2017, Fortnite has hosted a number of ambitious superhero crossovers, incorporating skins and game modes based on a number of popular comic books.

These include the awesome Avengers inspired game mode, or the Harley Quinn cosmetics that were added when Birds of Prey hit theatres. An overriding theme of Season 2 has been Deadpool, with fans asked to complete weekly challenges to unlock cosmetics, building up to the release of his skin.

Deadpool’s hideout has been a key location in Fortnite Chapter 2.

It was previously unknown when the Deadpool skin itself would release, with players being given smaller rewards like wraps for completing the weekly challenges.

However, a look inside Deadpool’s hideout following the most recent update is pretty indicative of when we can expect to see the merc with the mouth running around Epic Games’ battle royale.

In his hideout, above the toilet, you can see a calendar with a date circled at some point in the near-future. While the calendar is actually incomplete and there are no numbers, it appears to indicate Friday, April 3, based on when it was updated and the date circled.

The calendar appears to give away the skin’s release date.

How to get the Deadpool skin

April 3 coincides with the release of the Week 7 Deadpool challenges, which are thought to be the final. Previous weeks have seen players collect a Deadpool-related item and take it out in-game.

If you haven’t completed all the challenges yet, check out our complete guide for getting the Deadpool skin here.

However, there is some speculation that Epic will set some extra, last-minute challenges to complete, before you are able to get your hands on the full skin. We’ll have to wait and see.
