Fortnite Battle Passes are usually popular among players because they offer exclusive cosmetic items that are only available for a short period. Furthermore, these passes feature in-game currency V-Bucks as rewards, allowing buyers to recoup their investment in a Battle Pass over the course of a season.
In the most recent Chapter 5 Season 1, Fortnite included V-Bucks beyond level 100 as bonus rewards for players to unlock. However, this was received with scathing criticism, with some even blaming Epic for restricting V-Bucks to insane levels.

Fortnite players demand Epic not to gatekeep Battle Pass V-Bucks in bonus rewards
A Reddit user posted an image of their Bonus Rewards page in the current Fortnite Battle Pass and said, “I am actually begging Epic not to put V-Bucks in the bonus rewards ever again. This s**t is so grindy and I ran out of quests to do so.”
Other players who agreed with the sentiment in the Reddit post also joined in to describe their experience with the current V-Bucks situation in the Battle Pass and offered some advice to the user. One such player said, “Pro tip: don’t buy the BP this late in the season.”
Another chimed in, “For people that don’t know, you can get like 5 levels from going afk in Lego Fortnite for 3.5 hours (30k XP every 15 minutes).” A third user commented, “I do parkour to get XP when it gets too grindy. I’ve been getting around 150,000 XP per 45 minutes or so.”
Some players feel “This season was long as hell” and with “5 different game modes + Creative to take advantage of,” gathering XP was much easier when compared to the previous instances.
Few players argued Epic would never “think about taking V-bucks out of the bonus rewards” as it “benefits them more to do it.” “The premium BP contains enough V-bucks to basically get another BP for free the next season, but if someone doesn’t grind all the way up to the final V-bucks tier then they’ll have to fork over the money,” they said
