As is the case with most things in Fortnite, data miners have dug into the game’s files to discover a new item that could be on its way to the popular battle royale title.
Wraps were added to Fortnite at the start of Season 7 and allow players the ability to customize the looks of weapons and vehicles in the game.
While the only available wraps initially came from the Battle Pass, it looks like new ones are set to be added to the game.
Deep within the game’s files, a file named ‘CandyCane_D’ was found along with a picture that heavily points towards the introduction of a brand-new wrap.
As expected, it looks just like a candy cane and is perfect to fit the winter theme of Fortnite’s newest season.
The most important tidbit to recognize here, however, is that the wrap won’t be tied to a Battle Pass, which the previous six wraps were.
This indicates that new wraps could soon be hitting the shop in the coming weeks and months. It’s something that the community would surely be fully behind given the number of concepts people have created since the start of Season 7.
There’s also a possibility that the wrap could be added to the game through a set of challenges, which many items in the game have gotten over the last few months.
As with any leak, though, Epic has not confirmed anything and this file could very well be removed from the game with December 11’s v7.01 update.
