Fortnite bug might have just revealed new Season 8 map

Fortnite‘s map is cracking from top to bottom right now and after one player checked their map before dropping in, they might just have got a whole lot more than they were expecting to see.

Epic Games has revealed that Season 7 will come to an end on February 28 and many fans have been wondering about what the developer has in store for them in Season 8.

However, after weeks of speculation and leaks about a possible earthquake event in Fortnite, cracks have recently surfaced in a number of popular destinations.

Some leaks suggest Tilted Towers could be torn apart by the Fortnite earthquake event.

While some people will still be guessing about what the new map is set to look like in the near future, after the quake, one player thinks they’ve seen it first due to an in-game bug.

User Jmayer219 posted a short video to the Fortnite BR subreddit which seems to show a very different map made available to the user for a split second, before jumping into Battle Royale.

Whether or not this is the first glimpse of the Season 8 map remains to be seen, but this player certainly thinks it could be. “My game lagged for a second and showed the possible season 8 map,” the user posted.

Other users, though, are more skeptical. “That’s just gonna be end of Season 7,” one explained. “If it were Season 8 there’d be a lot more change and the challenge pianos wouldn’t be on the map on the first week.”

“I think it may be last day of season 7,” another said. “I doubt they would put the season 8 map in the files before it’s release.”

With Season 8 just around the corner, fans won’t have to wait much longer to find out what changes will be made to Battle Royale. Is this what the map will look like next?
