Online Fortnite league hosts ‘FN Pro League’ and social gaming organizers ‘Players’ Lounge’ have teamed up to host a 1v1 Playground LTM tournament featuring pro players and streamers.
The competition will be played for the first time on July 11th and will include a massive $10,000 prize pool.
The 1v1 Playground $10K tournament is set to feature 62 well-known names from the competitive Fortnite community, including pro players from FaZe Clan, OpTic Gaming, compLexity Gaming, and more.
The competition is sure to be fierce and tough as the field of participants will include some who regularly play in the weekly Friday Fortnite tournament, including four-time champion ‘Tfue,’ and Week Two winner ‘Thiefs.’
In addition, there will be two spots reserved for the winners of the qualifying tournaments that are open to all players, giving anyone the opportunity to compete against some of the world’s best players.

However, this tournament will be very much different from any other major Fortnite competitions before it as it will be played in the Playground LTM and have a 1v1 format.
Here are the official procedures and rules, as provided on the FN Pro League webpage:
Players will play a coinflip for their spawn location & match-making region choice. One player lands in Salty Springs, the other lands in Retail Row (house side). Players have 5 minutes to loot up and reach the designated area between the two spawns. From there, it’s a kill-on-sight for a time limit of 15 minutes. Player with the highest health at the end of the round claims victory. Rounds will be a best of three, with players rotating location each game.
Note: If the players are not in the designated location by 50:00 (match time) they forfeit the match, losing one game from the best of three.
