Before Fortnite switched over to Chapter 2, Vending Machines that gave players some rare weapons and items covered the map, but they have since been removed – and players are wondering if they will ever return.

With the onset of Chapter 2, Epic Games removed many of the features Fortnite built up over 10 seasons.

While a number of the features removed were applauded, some of them are very missed, and players would be grateful to see them make an eventual return.

Fortnite players want even more content to return from the past.

One such feature includes the Vending Machines, which disappeared at the start of Chapter 2. These machines could make all the difference between a win or a loss at the end of the game, so it would certainly be nice to have them back in some capacity.

Perhaps Epic Games thought that implementing a fishing mechanic would remove the need of Vending Machines, since players could just fish up loot and ammo that way.

Given the fact that Epic brought back some familiar locations from the first map, it’s not out of the question that they can make similar moves with the potentially life-saving appliances.

Are Vending Machines coming back?

For those who want a comeback for this easy method of getting rare loot, it looks like there might be something going on behind the scenes that indicates their return in the near future.

Reddit user “whodatnola1025 captured a clip of themselves dropping into the map, and while the textures loaded, eagle-eyed viewers can catch a very quick glimpse of a Vending Machine popping up.

Are vending machines possibly going to make a comeback? Saw this in a duos game last night. You see a vending machine for a split second. from FortNiteBR

This is far from a confirmation that the machines will actually be making a return, but it does show that nothing’s ever really gone from Fortnite.

It’s certainly a blink-and-you-miss-it type moment, so if you can’t notice it while watching through the clip, we’ve got you covered.

Epic Games haven’t mentioned anything about the machines returning, so it’s important not to put too much stock into this surprise appearance.

Until we get official word from the developers, we’ll just have to keep on speculating about the future of Fortnite.

As of January 14, it’s been over a month since the last update, so fans are starting to become impatient for new content.

The end of Chapter 2’s first season comes in February, and something will have to fill the void until then. We don’t know what that is just yet, but we’re sure Epic will have something planned.

According to a brand-new leaked survey, Epic Games have been asking players what they might want to see added as a feature to the Fortnite Crew subscription service, hinting that they’re open to changing up what’s included in the future.

If you took a look at the Fortnite Crew subscription service and thought that it didn’t include enough or didn’t include much that you’d be interested in, Epic Games may be heeding those concerns.

According to Fortnite leaker ‘iFireMonkey,’ a brand-new survey sent out to Fortnite players might indicate that the developer might be open to changing up what a Fortnite Crew subscription comes with. Specifically, the survey asks players to rank what benefits would be most or least important to be added to the service.

Currently, the Fortnite Crew service includes an exclusive skin, some V-Bucks and a free battle pass.

The question itself features a wide range of choices. Some are simply new ways to purchase Fortnite Crew subscriptions, like the ability to buy the service in retail stores and multi-month options.

There are also more gameplay-centric choices, including everything from custom matchmaking options to cosmetics that show off how long you’ve had a subscription. Beyond that, there’s even a choice for a monthly physical mailer with additional rewards outside of what’s given digitally.

Despite this development, it remains to be seen if the company will actually implement any changes. While this survey might indicate that the company is, at the very least, open to adding features to the service, it’s important to remember that it’s not a guarantee that they will.

Currently, the service includes a free battle pass, an exclusive Crew pack, 1000 V-Bucks and an exclusive Member’s Only emote (at least for a limited time), so the implementation of any one of the features listed in the leaked survey would be a welcome addition, especially after its rocky start.
