Manchester City's Sergio Aguero has been voted as the Premier League Player of the Month, meaning that a brand new special card has been added to Ultimate Team.
The Argentinian striker pipped a number of other players to the prize for January, after picking up a hat-trick against Aston Villa in a 6-1 win at Villa Park and scoring a total of seven across all competitions during the month.
Other contenders that were nominated for a new POTM card included Alisson Becker, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Jack Grealish, Jordan Henderson, Ayoze Perez, and Jack Stephens – with Aguero ultimately receiving more votes than each of them.
The new card, as seen below, was confirmed on February 7 by the official EA SPORTS FIFA Twitter account and has some eye-watering stats, reflecting his recent vein of good form.
With 86 pace, 93 shooting, 92 dribbling, and 83 passing, there's no doubt that the attacker would make it into most teams. So, let's take a look at it.

There's no doubt that you will be seeing a lot more of this Aguero card in Ultimate Team moving forward, with the card shaping up to be one of the quickest and most lethal striking options the league has to offer. It would link up nicely with the new Roberto Firmino in-form card, revealed as part of TOTW 21.
With the Premier League Player of the Month now confirmed for January, it's only a matter of time before the game's developers reveal the winner of the fan vote for the Bundesliga POTM.
There are some great nominees this time around, too, including Erling Haaland, Robert Lewandowski, and more. Cast your vote for that competition here and the winner, just like Aguero will be granted a brand new Ultimate Team card.
