Popular Streamer jasonR Banned on Twitch

Jason “jasonR” Ruchelski has been banned on Twitch and nobody is sure why.

The link to the Canadian’s popular channel now sends users to the dreaded “Sorry. Unless you’ve got a time machine, that content is unavailable.” message, and no explanation has been given.

The former CS:GO pro turned full-time streamer’s only response to the ban so far reads “I’ve streamed every day since EPL Dallas 2017 see you on the flippy #freeJRNASTY”.

With no other explanation from the man himself, or Twitch, speculation online suggests that the ban could be due to some recent comments that the 23-year-old made about female streamers.

One user, Nobzles, stated “he was banned because he said that all women on twitch are hoe. he said it in a joking manner but he said it”.

While this remains nothing but speculation, a mirror of the incident has started to make the rounds online. The CS:GO star can be heard saying that saying that all girls on the platform are “fucking hoes”.

The original clip is no longer available, meaning that the context behind jasonR’s comments, and supposed jokes, cannot be confirmed.

Opinion on the /r/GlobalOffensive subreddit seems to be split, with some users defending jasonR and saying that his comments were made in jest and others saying that they do warrant a ban if this is, in fact, the reason.

It is currently uncertain whether jasonR will be allowed to return to Twitch or whether his ban is permanent. Expect to hear more on this situation as it develops.
