TikTok star and pop singer Olivia Rodrigo sent fans into a frenzy on June 25 as she made her debut at one of the biggest music events of the year-Glastonbury music festival.

At just 19 years old, Olivia Rodrigo is on the way to dominating the music industry after having already conquered TikTok.

She may have only released her only album ‘Sour’ in 2021, but that didn’t stop her from climbing up the charts with her single ‘Drivers License.’ Not only that, but the hit album helped her pick up three Grammy Awards in the same year.

It was clear Rodrigo had hit the top spot when she was announced as one of Glastonbury 2022’s top artists, appearing alongside the likes of music legends Paul McCartney, Diana Ross, and Billie Eilish.

Appearing on June 25, Rodrigo took to the Other Stage at the Glastonbury festival which takes place on Worthy Farm in Somerset, England.

The TikToker performed a number of her own hits during her set including ‘Happier’, ‘hope ur ok,’ ‘All I Want,’ and ‘Drivers License.’ She also stunned fans with a cover of Avril Lavigne’s 2003 hit ‘Complicated.’

However, the standout moment for many was when Rodrigo announced a surprise guest to the stage- pop singer Lily Allen. After blasting the US Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade ruling, the two teamed up to sing Allen’s classic tune ‘F**k You’ and dedicated it to the five justices who overturned the legislation.

Rodrigo’s fans raved over Rodrigo’s set. One fan said: “I can’t believe she’s only 19. Wow, the icon she is and the example she is setting for new artists to come.” Another praised her duet with Allen: “The way she called them out by name, such a powerful speech and iconic thing to do.”

Although, Rodrigo was a little taken aback when she first stepped on stage and was lost for words as she stood in front of the large crowd admitting she was “so nervous.” Yet, as the music started to play she came into her own.

One supportive fan on Twitter said: “That’s just a dent of all the people who love her.” Another agreed that her appearance proved that she will “always be famous.”

Glastonbury 2022 officially comes to an end on June 26. However, it’s clear viewers will be talking about Rodrigo’s performance for months to come.
