Classic Ultimate Team heroes finally return in EA FC 25 FUT Birthday

FUT Birthday cards in EA FC 25

After weeks of rumors and hints, EA SPORTS have finally revealed that three of Ultimate Team’s greatest cult heroes will finally return during EA FC 25 FUT Birthday.

Ultimate Team is all about building your dream squad. But while in most cases players will look to fill their XI with the best players possible, there are always certain lower-rated cards that become instant favorites.

We’ve seen the likes of Romain Alessandrini, Chris Smalling, and even Juan Iturbe achieve cult status over the years thanks to their overpowered but cheap cards. However, none are remembered more fondly than the trio of Seydou Doumbia, Victor Ibarbo, and Gervinho, who made up one of the notorious front threes in FUT history during FIFA 15.

Now, a decade later, the trio are back to rip up defenses once again.

As part of the EA FC 25 FUT Birthday promo, the former Roma stars are all being added back to Ultimate Team as special cards, all with the same rapid pace that made them formidable to begin with.

According to the announcement blog, they will be available through unique objectives and Evolutions once the promo begins on March 7. Then, in the second week starting on March 14, they will also be added to packs as new FUT Heroes.

While their in-game stats are yet to be unveiled, leaks from FUT Sheriff and Donk Trading have revealed that they will all be 85-rated on their base card and have well over 90 Pace. The versions added to packs will likely feature improved ratings and stats, as well as five-star Skill Moves and Weak Foot.

If you’re lucky enough to get one of them, they will also be eligible for Evolutions, so you can upgrade them to your heart’s content.
