Destiny 2 developers Bungie have shared plans to revitalize the older dungeon Prophecy with a reimagined loot pool.

Destiny 2 has a wealth of activities for players to participate in. Whether that be a new 6-man raid, a new dungeon, or even a seasonal activity, there’s always something to do when you log into Bungie’s popular looter shooter.

Of course, not all of this content remains relevant for long though, with Bungie constantly introducing new updates to the game that shift the hottest content around. This is all based on what rewards players are looking for, with Bungie generally introducing better rewards as incentives to farm and try the new activities.

This results in some older activities becoming more irrelevant over time, as many old rewards get outclassed by the newer ones on offer. However, Bungie is looking to revitalize an older dungeon, arriving with a patch in the near future.

Destiny 2 devs revamp Prophecy with new loot pool

As announced in a recent TWID, Bungie is looking to revamp Prophecy once more. The dungeon launched with Season of Arrival and offered a bunch of new loot to players. Unfortunately, since that time, the dungeon has remained somewhat dormant aside from players running it for their weekly powerful gear.

However, Bungie will be introducing new gear into the dungeon, while cycling out some older rewards. A Swift Verdict, A Long Walk, and The Last Breath will all be removed from the loot pool, with a new Auto Rifle, Pulse Rifle, and Submachine Gun entering the fray.

Alongside this, a new Origin Trait will be added to the weapons, giving them even more power than previously. Crossing Over will grant the weapon bonus range and handling on the top half of the magazine while dealing increased damage on the lower half.

These changes will go live with Update 7.3.5, so players can look forward to completing Prophecy once more.
