Warzone pros concerned about “broken” game ahead of $1.2m WSOW finals
ActivisionA number of Warzone pros have expressed their concerns about the state of the game, with the World Series of Warzone Global Final just around the corner and a huge $600,000 on the line.
Warzone has never been without its bizarre bugs and issues, some game-breaking and some simply hilarious, and while you can sometimes look past it during casual games, it becomes a whole new issue when players are competing for serious sums of money.
With all of the qualifying matches now out of the way, there are mere days until the Global Finals of the World Series of Warzone in London, UK, and some of the competitors are growing seriously concerned that some key problems will go unaddressed before the tournament kicks off.
Bugs might ruin World Series of Warzone?
“I’m genuinely concerned for WSOW next week,” said American competitor Ethan ‘Ebatez’ Bates. “The amount of bugs that are in the game at the moment is going to be brutal to compete through.”
He listed a number of the issues including loot duplicating, the Restock glitch, and kills not counting, among other problems that are still present in the game.
TheTacticalBrit, who will also be competing at the tournament, echoed Ebatez’s tweet, saying that the game “needs a serious QOL (quality of life) update this week.”
He referenced a number of other glitches, including an insta-death glitch and UAVs not working, adding to the list of issues that could affect them.
There are clearly a number of problems with Warzone that players want to see fixed in the game, whether they’re pro players or not, but it could be a disaster if the WSOW finals matches are decided by bugs and glitches taking effect at the worst time.
Whether there is a quality-of-life update coming from developers Raven Software remains to be seen but, with just a week to go at the time of writing, it’s not looking great for most of these issues to be fixed before the WSOW takes place.
