Warzone & MW3 adding Warhammer skins including Space Marines

The official Call of Duty Twitter/X account has revealed that the next crossover Operator skins are coming from the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

The brand crossover cosmetics have been hit or miss in Call of Duty recently as players were not fans of the Walking Dead Operator skins. The crossover felt old as the television show is way past its peak popularity, even with the release of its newest spin-off series.

Call of Duty fans have been speculating about the newest crossover, as some have theorized that a Star Wars crossover is imminent.

However, players have chosen the wrong science fiction brand as the Call of Duty social media account has revealed the newest crossover skin line to come to Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone.

Warhammer collaboration coming to Warzone and MW3

COD’s next IP crossover will center on Warhammer 40,000 as players can get skins for some of the more popular characters and fighters from the miniature tabletop wargame.

“Inspired by the Warhammer 40,000 universe, Space Marines, Sisters of Battle, Astra Militarum skins and more are coming to Call of Duty Warzone and MW3,” the Call of Duty social media account said.

COD players and Warhammer fans will have to wait and see what those skins will look like in-game. So far, only a teaser announcement has been made, featuring some iconography from the table game.

Warhammer has a brand far beyond the miniatures and tabletop games – the franchise also features movies and video games.

Whether this set of Operator skins will be a hit with fans remains to be seen. While Warhammer is a popular brand, the crossover potential between COD players and tabletop game fans doesn’t seem high on its surface.

Fans of the shooter, so far, have shared mixed reactions.
