The MW3 Walking Dead collaboration in the Season 2 Battle Pass is under scrutiny after discovering “embarrassing” Rick Grimes voice lines.

MW3 recently revealed that the upcoming season’s Battle Pass would feature a collaboration with the popular AMC show “The Walking Dead” starring Rick Grimes and Michonne. The skins would accompany an in-game event, giving players an exclusive Walking Dead weapon camo.

The achievable weapon camo has already been called “garbage” by fans after it was initially revealed. Now, Rick Grimes’ skin has been added to the list for its voice lines, which were not done by the original actor.

Modern Warfare has had multiple operator bundles released in previous years that were based on another person’s likeness. For example, the Nicki Minaj bundle released during MW2 had her as the voice for the lines. Unfortunately, Rick Grimes’ skin was not given equal treatment with this collaboration.

MW3 players slam Rick Grimes’ voice actor

In a post made to the MW3 subreddit, a user shared a video of some of the voice lines associated with the Rick Grimes skin. None of which reference the actual show or sound like the original actor, Andrew Lincoln.

“This is the thing I was most excited about for the Rick skin,” said one commenter. “Having his gritty voice lines in the game and then we get this sh*t.”

Many shared the sentiment, expressing their anticipation of the iconic Rick Grimes voice with the upcoming skin. However, it seems that the skin set to release alongside Season 2 will not feature anything iconic from the character.

“Honestly, it makes me not even wanna use him,” agreed another. “That’s embarrassing.”

For those who are still interested in getting the skin for themselves, Rick Grimes comes with the Season 2 Battle Pass as an instant unlock. There are no in-game challenges or additional charges needed to retrieve the skin.
