UNILAD Stuns OpTic Gaming in Elimination Match at CWL Pro League Stage 2 Playoffs

UNILAD has sent OpTic Gaming home with a 3-0 sweep in the first round of the CWL Pro League Stage 2 playoffs.

For the second event in a row, UNILAD is responsible for OpTic Gaming’s exit from the competition.

The new OpTic line-up is still looking for a big result after breaking up the most successful roster in Call of Duty history. UNILAD stopped them at the top-six at CWL Anaheim, and now they’ve eliminated OpTic in the very first round of the Stage 2 Playoffs for a 7/8
finish.

UNILAD came out swinging in the opening map, a Valkyrie Hardpoint on which the European team out-slayed one of the most formidable slaying squads in Call of Duty, taking a 250-191 to open the series in their favor.

Losing respawn modes has proven dangerous for an OpTic Gaming that has looked weaker on Search and Destroy, and that vulnerability bore out once again here as UNILAD were able to claim Sainte Marie du Mont 6-4 to reach match point.

Relying on a reverse sweep is a precarious position for a team that’s struggled in Search and Destroy, but UNILAD didn’t even let OpTic get that far. A 2-1 capture the flag on Flak Tower sealed the deal for the Europeans, advancing them to next round of the lower bracket and eliminating OpTic Gaming from the event.
