Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 players are suffering from a new glitch which is affecting people in both multiplayer and Blackout.

It’s rare that a glitch effects two completely different game modes, but players in both of Call of Duty’s online offerings are suffering from a glitch that freezes them in place.

The glitch appears to be affecting multiplayer in both public and custom games, which may worry pro players who will be competing in the CWL Pro League Qualifier on January 16.

In a clip uploaded to Reddit, SebRWise can be seen running into Summit’s main building while playing multiplayer, and heading towards the stairs.

As he goes to run up the steps, SebRWise quickly checks behind him to make sure nobody is following him, before moving towards the stairs and hitting the bannister. Just as he runs into it, he becomes stuck, unable to move past the bannister no matter how hard he tries, eventually ending up underneath the map as he attempts to escape.

In Blackout, a video uploaded to YouTube by Oscar Meza shows him trying to escape the storm while playing squad matches, only to find himself frozen when he tries to run over a rock, and left to die by his teammates who are forced to keep moving forward.

It’s unclear when this glitch started to happen, but both clips have been uploaded in the past two days, so it’s possible that this bug has only just reared its head.

Neither Activision nor Treyarch have commented publicly on it yet, but Black Ops 4 fans will hope that it is patched quickly in a future update.
