Evil Geniuses’ Call of Duty Justin ‘SiLLy’ Fargo-Palmer has heard some new rumors regarding Black Ops 4 and says that all of the previous leaks could be fake.

Announced in March of 2018, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will release on October 12th 2018 and has already been the subject of some intense rumors and speculation.

These range from the game not featuring single player all the way up to it featuring a separate Battle Royale mode released by Raven Software that will even be available on the Nintendo Switch.

For the multiplayer community, though, the rumors have left everyone scratching their heads as leaks have reported that the gameplay will be more like Overwatch or Lawbreakers than a classic Call of Duty title.

This has left both the casual and competitive community in a state of confusion, especially when you factor in other leaks that claim the game will have both “advanced movement” and “boots on the ground” gameplay.

However, Evil Geniuses’ SiLLY, formerly of eUnited, has heard differently. Taking to Twitter late on April 29th, the professional player said that he has been told that all of the previous leaks were fake.

It would be a rare occurrence for so many leaks from different sources to all turn out to be fake, but it is possible that Treyarch and Activision have allowed some “fake” information to be spread as they attempt to keep the true nature of their game a secret.

The Call of Duty community seems to be split in what it wants to see from Black Ops 4, so it would be a serious achievement if the developers manage to release something that keeps everyone happy.

One thing is for sure: the community reveal for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will take place on May 17th and we’re unlikely to have any concrete facts about the highly anticipated game before that date.
