Call of Duty Confirm that Black Ops 4 PC Version will Be Exclusive to Battle.net

The rumors that the PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 would be exclusive to Blizzard’s Battle.net service.

Battle.net is Blizzard Entertainment’s own distribution and rights management platform, which supports games such as Diablo, StarCraft, World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, Overwatch and most recently, Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 is the only Activision release on the service, and is currently exclusive to Battle.net on PC, and it has been officially announced that Black Ops 4 will be the first Call of Duty title to do the same.

A separate development team, Beenox, have been making the PC version of the game. Vonderhaar explained more.

“They are making the most robust, most refined, most customizable PC shooter experience, that we’ve created.

Black Ops 4, will be the first Call of Duty title ever released on Blizzard’s Battle.net.”

And the community reveal also featured a cameo appearance from Overwatch’s Jeff Kaplan, explaining their involvement in the process.
