The upcoming release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has generated a substantial amount of hype throughout the gaming world, especially surrounding the 'Blackout' Battle Royale mode.
While a collection of other Battle Royale titles have been known to support lobbies of 100 players each, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 may be taking a different route with their spin on the popular genre.
A Reddit user by the name of jerm500 posted an image of the supposed 'Blackout' lobby, which appears to show that the mode will hold 60 players, compared to the typical 100 in Fortnite, PUBG, and other games.
Only small amounts of information have been released by Treyarch in regards to Blackout at the time of writing, however, it has been noted that the map will be incredibly large and contain aspects from previous Black Ops installations.
It can also be noted that the image states that the maximum party size for Blackout could go up to 12 players, and could hint at the chance of a 'Teams of 12' mode being introduced.
Some community members have voiced concern with the prospect of the mode potentially 'only' containing a total of 60 players, yet nothing has been confirmed by Treyarch at this time.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is scheduled to release worldwide on Friday, October 12th.
We will continue to provide more information on this story as it is made available.
