The annual reveal of what the next Call of Duty game will entail is taking place earlier in the year than usual as Treyarch unveil Black Ops 4 on May 17th.

The previous cycle involved several reveals across June/July/August, followed by the full release of the game in November. That’s the way it’s been for ten years.

Activision and Treyarch appear to have gone wild and decided they’re going to tell us more in May, before releasing the game in October.

The anticiaption is high within the Call of Duty community about what the game will include, with notable leaks suggesting a possible return to advanced movement (a.k.a Jetpacks).

The big reveal will take place on May 17th in Los Angeles, but ahead of the  event, the box art has been leaked online just hours before.
