Last week, Jujutsu Kaisen again delivered a thrilling chapter with the commencement of Maki vs Sukuna. The series wraps up Yuta and Yuji vs Sukuna, with both young sorcerers taking serious damage. Yuta’s condition is far more serious than Yuji’s, as Ui Ui takes the former to Shoko.
Maki fights the King of Curses one-on-one, and it appears she’s holding her own. Furthermore, the recent chapter also brings back Choso after several weeks. He disappeared after Chapter 246 when Sukuna literally impaled him.
Additionally, Hakari and Uraume are still fighting. Uraume mocks the sorcerers for being unable to produce the same results as Satoru Gojo. CrunchyrollThe chapter starts with a brief flashback where Gojo, Nanami, and Mei Mei are saying Kusakabe is the strongest first-grade sorcerer. However, Kusakabe doesn’t agree with that. Moving back to the present, we see an intense fight between Sukuna and Maki for almost the entire chapter.
Kusakabe was hiding all this time, bidding his time to launch an attack on the King of Curses. However, Sukuna easily notices him and attacks him instead. The narration talks about how Kashimo, Higuruma, and Yuta entertained Sukuna with their abilities after Gojo’s death.
However, Sukuna has always wanted to fight someone like Maki, who cannot use Jujutsu in exchange for her Heavenly Restriction. He implies Maki is better than Yuji and realizes Jujutsu is simply skin and meat, but her body is the true bone and essence.
He’s simply ecstatic to fight her and says her existence alone defies Jujutsu. Sukuna also wants to find out if Jujutsu or the physical body is more worth polishing. On the other hand, Kusakabe is watching all that from above and is scared to realize that he’s the last one standing. He wonders if Yuji, Mei Mei, or Choso will come to help him. But he cannot rely on others since he knows what he must do – kill Sukuna.
