After waking up Denji finds himself in a hospital room where he notices smoke and a helicopter. Denji then tries to call Nayuta but soon realizes that no one except Yoshida is in the room. When he asks Yoshida about Nayuta, he learns that he has been in an unconscious state for one week. The former tells Denji that he can’t help him further as he has broken a rule.
After leaving, Yoshida tells Fumiko that Denji has again lost consciousness. Mifune discloses that Public Safety wants to dismember Denji. After that, we see Pochita in Denji’s dream, where the latter asks his devil friend to protect Nayuta. However, Pochita asks how can he do so as one of his legs has been amputated. In the operation room, the doctors are also planning to cut his other leg.
