Kang Full’s Light Shop K-drama gets a star-studded cast
Disney+The Kang Full universe is expanding as planned as Disney+ announced a new K-drama by the webtoon writer titled Light Shop that has a well-recognized leading cast.
Disney+ has seen success since releasing well-received K-dramas like Revenant and Kang Full’s Moving. The webtoon K-drama became the most talked-about of 2023. It was deemed one of the best thanks to its cinematography and storyline of heartfelt and unique heroes.
Moving became the start of something greater as Disney+ announced the expansion of more Kang Full-based K-dramas. While Moving teased one of his other webtoons, Disney+ has greenlighted Light Shop.
Based on one of the creator’s webtoons, Light Shop has announced the actors for the leading roles of a thriller-horror storyline.
Who will star in the Light Shop K-drama?
Jirisan and Kingdom actor Ju Ji-hoon will star in Light Shop K-drama for Disney+ alongside actor Park Bo-young.
Like Moving and Kang Full’s other webtoon, Light Shop has a storyline sure to enthrall fans. The K-drama focuses on a seemingly ordinary light shop by day. But it has a secret as the light shop at the end of a dark alley has a unique set of customers. The shop is visited by dead spirits and people stuck between life and death. These people have their own traumatic stories to tell.
Actor Ju will play the leading role of the shop owner with actor Park in the role of a nurse who has a peculiar connection to her patients. Look at the full cast list below:

Light Shop has fans excited as actors like Lee Jung-eun, a household name in K-dramas, gained global recognition for the Oscar-winning movie Parasite. Kim Min-ha is recognized for her role in Apple TV+’s Pachinko. Kim Dae-myung starred in the popular medical K-drama Hospital Playlist.
Light Shop will be directed by Kim Hiewon and is expected to be released in the second half of 2024 on Disney+. The K-drama is speculated to have a short run with only eight episodes.
