NFL stars slam Buccaneers and Manchester United owners in glaring report

The Glazer family has deep roots in the sporting world, as the American businessmen have owned the Buccaneers since 1995 and Manchester United since 2005.
The consensus thought from United supporters is that the Glazers should sell the club. The passionate fan base immediately rejected the family and hasn’t changed its stance yet.
As for Buccaneers fans, the reception has been much more timid. In recent years, Joel Glazer has assumed the decision-making role. He famously signed Tom Brady and brought a Super Bowl title to Tampa Bay in 2020.
But, according to the recent NFLPA poll, Buccaneers players tend to agree with the United fans on this topic.

The current players and employees tabbed the Glazers as stubborn and unwilling to invest in training facilities. Some even called the locker room “unclean” and “smelly,” according to the survey. Rumors of bugs crawling in the showers were mentioned, too.
The category “Treatment of Families” received an ‘F,’ as players feel that charging $90 per child for daycare services is absurd, especially when most NFL teams offer it for free.
Likewise, “Team Travel” is the other ‘F’ on the report card. On road trips, younger players must share their hotel rooms or shell out thousands of dollars to secure a private space of their own.
And the most damning of all is the ‘D-minus’ grade in the “Ownership” category. Players believe that the root of the problems in the organization comes from the top.
And it’s easy to see why.
Although the Buccaneers did release a statement that promises improvements for the players, fans want to see action behind these words.
Perhaps the recent findings by the NFLPA will result in upgrades to the facility and better care for players and their families.
If not, Buccaneers fans could soon follow suit and join Manchester United fans in their disdain for the Glazer family.
Even with recent success in Tampa Bay, winning does not cure all. But improving the standards for the franchise would be a strong start.
