Russell Wilson is a former third-round pick who took the Seattle Seahawks to multiple Super Bowls as the starting quarterback, including an SBXLVIII victory over the Denver Broncos.
Wilson eventually fell out of favor with the Seahawks, leading to a blockbuster trade in the 2022 NFL off-season. As fate would have it, the Broncos were the team to acquire him.
Unfortunately, the move did not work out for either side. Less than two years after signing the star quarterback to a deal worth $242.5 million, many around the league expect Denver to release Wilson.

Atlanta Falcons
League officials believe the Falcons will be aggressive in their search for a new quarterback, and Russell Wilson could become a target for the franchise.
Atlanta has high-end weapons with Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts, plus a stout offensive line that can keep Wilson clean. With an elite defense, the Falcons could become instant contenders by adding Wilson.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Speaking of elite defenses, the Steelers were another team constantly held back by poor quarterback play in 2023. Could Wilson solve the problem for Pittsburgh?
The veteran signal-caller is a safer bet than Kenny Pickett, who hasn’t acclimated to the NFL very well after an impressive collegiate career. Wilson might be enough to get the Steelers back in the Super Bowl chase.
Washington Commanders
If Wilson is willing to go through a rebuild, the Commanders make sense, as the franchise reportedly had a deal in place for Wilson before the Broncos swooped in at the 11th hour.

Like the Commanders, the Patriots will not compete for a Super Bowl title next season. But still, adding Wilson would give the 35-year-old a chance to reestablish himself while the front office adds talent to the roster.
Head coach Jerod Mayo is open to upgrading the quarterback position, but the front office won’t force it. Wilson, on a league minimum deal, might make sense.

The Raiders, a divisional rival of the Broncos, is another team that will kick the tires on signing Wilson. Vegas falls somewhere between a rebuild and championship contender, but better play behind center could be the final piece.
Wilson would have All-Pro wideout Davante Adams to throw to, while another All-Pro spearheads an underrated defense in pass rusher Maxx Crosby. Don’t sleep on the Silver & Black as a potential suitor.
