Monster Hunter Now players are calling for Niantic to make a “simple” quality of life change to the game, potentially making battles much smoother.

Monster Hunter Now is still in its early days, having been released in September 2023. Constant updates and regular new elements are being added to the popular mobile game to keep up with player feedback. From the recently added Halloween event, to fixes for those frustrating Palico Paintballs, the community are certainly active in calling for change and sorting any bugs.

However, it seems there are still some elements players want to see added to the game, with one highlighting a key quality of life addition that’s already got plenty of the community calling for its addition.

Sharing their idea on the Monster Hunter Now Reddit, one user explained their thoughts for a “simple QoL improvement.” They highlighted that all they want is “an option or a button, that swaps your gear to the last set you wore when you last faced that monster type.”

What this would do, is allow you the chance to optimize your character for a certain enemy through the click of a button, instead of needing to prepare beforehand.

It’s clear the idea was pretty well received, with many stating that the poster “was blessed with the wisdom of the gods” and how “that would be awesome.”

Others posed similar ideas for the change, building on the poster’s original idea: “At least just have a big button selection on the screen when you first click to fight a monster, that gives you a quick loadout change.” The reasoning behind this design is that plenty of players “hate having to go into the equipment menu, then scrolling through my load outs with those tiny little arrows.”

In fact, this isn’t a new feature for Niantic, as highlighted by one commenter: “They have something like this in Pokemon Go when fighting rocket grunts/leaders.. game remembers your last used team and makes it nice and easy. Would love this”

It seems, with the feature already in Pokemon Go and proving to be a huge hit among the community, this would be a fantastic element to add to Monster Hunter Now.
