Customer's in Starbucks

Starbucks’ customers are somewhat earning a reputation for getting rowdy. We’ve compiled a list of some of the craziest viral meltdowns the chain has ever seen.

Starbucks stands as one of the most popular takeout chains of all time. People love nothing more than heading down to their local store to grab a Frappuccino or a Caramel Macchiato.

Sometimes, however, customers get a little too obsessed, shall we say, leading to some viral videos where people have full-on meltdowns when their coffee-based wishes aren’t fulfilled.

Below, we’ve put together some of the most insane, bizarre, and unhinged Starbucks meltdowns of all time, so get ready to witness some crazy so-called “Karens” at work.

Starbucks customer destroys display

In this first video, we can see a woman having a dispute with one of the workers at the chain. Dressed in shorts and a tank top, she is seen at the counter of a Starbucks, having a heated conversation with one of the workers. She can be heard shouting “You don’t know how to f**king listen. Do your f**king job.”

This is quickly followed by a full-on meltdown, where she destroys the display by the register, dragging it all the way down to the floor before stomping away.

‘Karen’ throws drinks at Starbucks barista in drive-thru

In the next viral video, a Starbucks employee was filmed after a ‘Karen,’ went to town on her. We don’t know the nature of the dispute, but the woman can be heard demanding her name in order to report it to the manager of the chain.

“Actually, you can go ahead and refund me,” she says, changing her mind. Things quickly take a turn, as the customer starts flinging drinks at the employee. “I’m gonna press charges on you!” the employee warns. “You threw something at me, what do you think was going to happen?”

This doesn’t stop her from throwing one last drink over the employee, however, before finally driving off.

Starbucks customer yells gibberish at employee

In a bizarre TikTok video, a customer at the chain lost their mind, screaming unintelligibly at an employee: “…training program that this is (unintelligible) it is not illegal to yell here! Excuse me ma’am you are (unintelligible) visiting the city!” she rages in a fit of indecipherable words.

“Get the f**k out of here. Get the f**k out lady. Get the f**k out,” the person filming the video can be heard saying, as she finally rages out of the store, before finally deciding to yell some further nonsense. She finally departs, and the store all laugh and clap.

Starbucks worker fired over viral argument

This altercation went viral after a trans Starbucks worker lost their cool with a customer. The video begins with the barista in question screaming in a woman’s face, to which she replies “Don’t ever call me transphobic. EVER!”

To which they reply “(sic) called me a her… You’re being transphobic, Karen. Now get out.” At this point, the barista is so enraged that they begin clapping in the woman’s face aggressively. After they see they are being filmed, they then charge over to grab the person’s phone before the video cuts.

Starbucks customer loses it over mask

In a viral video from 2020, a mom lashed out when a Starbucks employee asked her to pull her mask up. In the video, the woman can be heard saying: “I’m not going listen to anything you say to me when you talk to me like that.”

“Okay, that’s fine, but next time when you come in, I’m going to need you to keep your mask on,” the employee replies. This is when things got nasty.

“And I know it’s because you’re discriminating against me because I’m a Trump supporter. F**k Black Lives Matter,” she says.

“No, it’s not a law,” she continued. “This is America, and I don’t have to do what you say. Trump 2020… F**k you,” she said, finally finished.

These are just some of the weird, wonderful, and sometimes scary moments that have taken place at Starbucks. Some people really need their coffee.
